Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study
On Wednesdays from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm there is a group of seekers looking at the scriptures. They call their study group the Super Cool Adult Fellowship Group. Laughter is often present and the atmosphere is one in which people can openly ask their questions and share their opinions. The group is always welcoming of additional seekers. We meet almost every Wednesday unless it conflicts with a holiday.
The group is currently studying Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians. Within the next couple of weeks they will be making a decision about a special study for the season of Lent so stay tuned for more information coming soon.
Please know that you are welcome to join us. All we ask is that you come to have fun while enjoying great fellowship and often we even learn something. Please contact Mark Leuschen for more information.
For the 2017 Season of Lent the Wednesday Evening Bible Study Group (Super Cool Adult Fellowship Group) will be studying “The Sign and the Sacrifice” by Rowan Williams. the main topic is the meaning of the cross and resurrection.
Rowan Williams is Master of Magdalene College, Cambridge. The former Archbishop of Canterbury, Williams is the author of numerous books, including Meeting God in Mark: Reflections of Trust: An introduction to Christian Belief, published by Westminster John Knox Press.
Rowan Williams presents the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection as viewed through the eyes of those who witnessed them. The Sign and the Sacrifice explores the meaning of what these events meant to Jesus’ followers in the early years and what they can say to us today.
