The congregation at MSPC uses their gifts of time, talent and money in mission giving to the local community and to the world. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10
Local Community Mission
Community Garden and Mission Market of Handmade Craft items
The church provides space for a garden for its members and participates in the Confluence Community Action Network’s list of gardens in the Tri-Cities area. Produce is made available during the summer after worship on Sundays and remaining produce is often given to the local food banks. Several women of the church make various items for the market such as knitted and crocheted jewelry, scarves, potholders, cloth bags and tote bags made from plastic grocery bags. We are doing our part to recycle and help improve the environment. Monies raised at the market are used to support mission activities in our local community.
Monthly Food Collections
Food donations collected at the first of the month are given quarterly to:

Seasonal Mission Opportunities
In the fall we collect school supplies to be distributed at Badger Mountain Elementary school and at Thanksgiving we provide food baskets to the school and at Christmas gifts to families in need. Our congregation donates items (scarves, hats, gloves, mittens) for our “Mitten Tree” that are then given to local schools, the Salvation Army, the local World Relief organization, Safe Harbor Crisis Nursery and My Friends Place.
We also support The Chaplaincy Fundraisers “Lighting the Path” breakfast in the fall and the “Evening of Angels” concert in the summer.
Within our denomination we support the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Program (PDA) where the congregation donates supplies and their time to assemble Gifts of the Heart hygiene, school and baby kits. These kits are then handed out to those people in need when a disaster strikes worldwide. We also have a mission budget to support mission opportunities selected by the Northwest Coast Presbytery and the General Assembly PC (USA).
